G&M Welcomes New Corporate Restructuring and Transactional Partner Jason J. Ben

Chicago, IL, April 1, 2019. Boutique law firm Goldstein & McClintock LLLP announced its continued expansion, adding highly regarded corporate restructuring and transactional partner Jason J. Ben.

Over the past sixteen years, Mr. Ben has developed a sterling reputation for providing efficient and effective solutions to complex business issues, practicing primarily in the areas of business transactions, commercial litigation, and corporate restructuring. He has extensive experience advising companies, boards, indenture trustees, hedge funds, secured creditors, trustees, and official committees of unsecured creditors in a wide range of complex and high-profile bankruptcy matters.

Prior to joining G&M, Mr. Ben practiced at Arnold & Porter LLP (f/k/a Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP) from 2008 to 2019 and at Sidley Austin LLP (in its Chicago and London offices) from 2003-2008.

Mr. Ben is active in the community, including serving as a full member or in an advisory capacity of several non-profit boards. He also is committed to pro-bono matters, regularly donating his time to assist transgender, civil rights and immigration clients. Mr. Ben also provides mentorship to the students at Legal Prep, a charter school on Chicago’s west side, regularly assisting with the school’s mission of using legal principles to facilitate academic growth.

Mr. Ben is a member of the Illinois and New York bars and has been admitted to practice before the District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern and Southern District of New York, the Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the Southern University Law Center.
