Boutique law firm Goldstein & McClintock LLLP expands into Florida With the addition of highly-regarded Miami-based partner

Miami Florida, July 24, 2017.  Boutique law firm Goldstein & McClintock LLLP announced its continued expansion, opening its first Miami, Florida office with the addition of highly regarded corporate restructuring and commercial transactions partner Monique D. Hayes, effective immediately.

Monique D. Hayes, a native of Miami, will lead the firm’s expansion into Florida.  Over the past thirteen years, Ms. Hayes has developed a sterling reputation for providing efficient and effective solutions to complex business issues. Monique practices in the areas of business transactions, commercial litigation, and corporate restructuring. She has extensive experience advising fiduciaries, corporate and non-profit boards, entrepreneurs, and small and mid-market companies, and has represented trustees, debtors, and official committees of unsecured creditors in a wide range of complex and high profile bankruptcy matters. Monique’s efforts in pursuing bankruptcy related avoidance actions as well as Ponzi scheme and other fraud litigation have resulted in millions of dollars in estate recoveries. She has also developed a thriving practice in director, officer, and member fiduciary liability claims litigation. 

In the community, Ms. Hayes is an active philanthropist and has been recognized among the United Way Miami-Dade Young Leaders. She is a member of the Miami Foundation Fellows Class 7 and received the Blackshear Fellowship Award, which is given to select candidates each year by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. Ms. Hayes has also been honored by the University of South Florida as the 2014 Young Alumnus of the Year and received the Sojourner Truth Award from the Miami-Dade Business & Professional Women’s Alliance in recognition of her service to women in the business community.  Ms. Hayes was included in the 40 under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of Miami-Dade County by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, received the IWIRC Rising Star Award and has been recognized by Brickell  Magazine as one of the Top 20 Professionals Under 40. She has also been lauded as a “Florida Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine and a “Top Up and Comer” by Florida Trend magazine.  She received the prestigious Kathryn Heidt Award from the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.

Prior to joining G&M, Monique had founded The Hayes Firm, PLLC after many years with the South Florida law firm, Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. She also served as law clerk to United States Bankruptcy Judge, Laurel Myerson Isicoff.

Ms. Hayes is a member of the Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
